The Oral History NSW Conference Grant

DetailS

Oral History NSW is pleased to announce that we will be offering two grants of $600 to support presenters attending the Biennial Oral History Australia Conference to be held in Victoria in 2024.

Any member of OHNSW may apply for funding, but at least one grant will be awarded to a student member. In addition, OHNSW will prioritise grants for members who do not have access to institutional funding to attend the conference.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • be a member of Oral History NSW

  • be the presenter of a paper accepted for presentation at the conference (to be confirmed by the judging panel prior to the announcement of the grants)

  • attend the conference in person

  • write a short blog post about their research for the OHNSW website.

In addition, student members must:

  • be currently enrolled in an honours or postgraduate research degree at an Australian university.

Note:

Successful applicants must attend and present at the conference in person to receive the funding.
Previous recipients of an OHNSW conference grant are not eligible to apply.
The grant is not valid if the conference is moved to an online format.
All applications will be assessed based on merit. Oral History NSW reserves the right to not award a grant if applications received do not satisfy all criteria or reflect the required standard.

How to apply

To apply, please complete the application form and return it, with a copy of your abstract, confirmation letter from the conference committee, and a one-page CV, to secretary@oralhistorynsw.org.au

Deadline: 30 August 2024
