The Oral History NSW Conference Grant

Oral History NSW is offering two grants of $600 to support members presenting at the 2026 Oral History Australia Biennial Conference in Adelaide. Applications close: 31 October 2026.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be a current financial member of Oral History NSW.

  • Have a paper accepted for presentation at the conference.

  • Attend and present at the conference in person.

  • Contribute a short blog post about their research for the Oral History NSW website.


Priority Criteria

All eligible members are encouraged to apply. However:

  • At least one grant will be awarded, where possible, to a student member currently enrolled in an honours or postgraduate research degree at an Australian university.

  • Preference will be given to applicants who do not have access to institutional funding to attend the conference.

Previous recipients of an Oral History NSW conference grant are not eligible to apply.

  • A one-page CV

Conditions

  • Successful applicants must attend and present at the conference in person to receive funding.

  • The grant will not be awarded if the conference moves to an online-only format.

  • Applications will be assessed on merit.

  • Oral History NSW reserves the right not to award a grant if applications do not meet the eligibility criteria or the required standard.
